The Reuse People of America launches 2014 National Reuse Contest

The ReUse People of America, Inc. (TRP), has announced the start of this year's National Reuse Contest for projects using mostly salvaged building materials.  The Reuse Contest promotes innovative building and remodeling projects that use salvaged materials, many of which would normally be sent to landfills.

TRP's mission is to keep discarded construction materials out of landfills.  The contest is open from January 1 through October 31, 2014 and will have two entry categories:  construction/remodeling and art/furniture.

The purpose of the Reuse Contest is to show what can be accomplished with used materials and to promote the economic, aesthetic and environmental benefits of choosing salvaged over new materials in almost any building project.

Entries can be submitted locally or nationally.  For a complete list of rules, visit www.TheReUsePeople.org or contact Regional Manager Joe Rettman at 216.325.3019.
